Oracle New Database Build Questionnaire.
Before every new Oracle Database creation need to get the below details from the application team. Once we get the required details we can start db creation by using dbca tool or manually.

| What will be size of shared Pool, Buffer Cache, Redo log buffer, Large pool and Redo log file size ? | |
| What are the initial tablespaces and their sizes to be created in the database ? | |
| What is the expected growth rate of the database ? | |
| What will be maximum Undo Retention value of the database ? | |
| What kind of database to be created OLTP or OLAP ? | |
| What is the expected CPU utilization of the nightly/weekly batch job load ? | |
| What is the required Optimizer mode settings of the database ? | |
| What is the mean time to recover of the database in case of crash(only database crash recovery in case of power failure) ? | |
| Any special backup and backup retention strategy/policy required by the application other than TFS database backup strategy ? | |
| What is the weekly and daily backup window required ? | |
| What is the required database and national characterset to be configured ? |
