Creating ext4 Filesystem on Oracle Database Appliance(ODA) To create new filesystem and mount we need root credentials. To make it permanent ,follow below steps. run the blkid command to get the UUID value of the new FS ============================================================ # blkid /dev/mapper/VolGroupSys-optNWLV1 /dev/mapper/VolGroupSys-optNWLV1: LABEL="optNWLV1" UUID="9c79364e-99e1-42a8-ada1-86c31ad1fa76" TYPE="ext4" Note : Add the above entry in /etc/fstab.
