Oracle Management Server is Down. PBS may not be up

Issue: Oracle Management Server is Down. PBS may not be up.

Environment Details:

RHEL Linux VM 8.6

OEM 13.5

Patch Details:

  • WLS_SPB_12.2.1.4.240405
  • Patch: Apr2024 CPU patch
  • WLS STACK PATCH BUNDLE 12.2.1.4.240405 (Patch 36485713)

Error:

OEM_SRVR$ emctl start oms
Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c Release 5

Starting Oracle Management Server…
WebTier Successfully Started
Oracle Management Server is Down. PBS may not be up.
Check the following log files:
EM log files: /u01/app/oracle/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman/log/emctl.log, emoms.trc, emoms_pbs.trc
JVMD Engine is Down
OEM_SRVR$

Reason for OMS not getting started

During patching ,Below mentioned files missed under
/u01/app/oracle/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdpartyjackson-mapper-asl-1.9.13.jar
jackson-jaxrs-1.9.13.jar
jackson-xc-1.9.13.jar
jackson-core-asl-1.9.13.jar

Solution

copied files from OEM home backup.
cd /backup/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdparty/[OEM_SRVR thirdparty]$ cp -p jackson-mapper-asl-1.9.13.jar /u01/app/oracle/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdparty
[OEM_SRVR thirdparty]$ cp -p jackson-jaxrs-1.9.13.jar /u01/app/oracle/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdparty
[OEM_SRVR thirdparty]$ cp -p jackson-xc-1.9.13.jar /u01/app/oracle/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdparty
[OEM_SRVR thirdparty]$ cp -p jackson-core-asl-1.9.13.jar /u01/app/oracle/middleware/oracle_common/modules/thirdparty
[OEM_SRVR thirdparty]$

Start OMS

OEM_SRVR$ emctl start oms
Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c Release 5
Copyright (c) 1996, 2021 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
Starting Oracle Management Server…
WebTier Successfully Started
Oracle Management Server Successfully Started
Oracle Management Server is Up
